About Us

Hi there, I’m Anna McKinsey. I’m 35, originally from a town near Gothenburg, Sweden, and now I live in Portland, Oregon. If you’re a parent juggling work, kids, and life I see you. I’m one too, and I know how wild and wonderful it can be trying to feed your family without losing your mind.

My love for food began in my grandmother’s kitchen in Sweden. Her cinnamon rolls, fresh from the oven, filled the house with warmth and joy. It wasn’t just the food it was the stories and the feeling of home. Those memories sparked my passion for cooking.

I came to the U.S. in my late twenties, became a private chef, then started teaching classes and planning meals for fellow busy parents. What I’ve learned is this: busy doesn’t have to mean bland. And fast doesn’t have to mean frozen.

My kitchen is all about balance. Butter and broccoli. Quick wins and quality. I’ve had my share of kitchen fails like mistaking cinnamon for cumin on taco night but those moments always turn into laughs.

Today, I create easy, nourishing, family-friendly recipes. I’m here to help make cooking less stressful and more joyful. Whether it’s a 20-minute dinner or weekend baking with the kids, let’s make it something you look forward to.
